Applications are now open to join TCS for Michaelmas 2024! There are roles in all areas including management, design, and editing. After the revival of TCS last year, we are looking to expand our team and this is an exciting opportunity to shape student journalism in Cambridge!

  • Join our team as a writer and cover the topics you are passionate about! You will work alongside editors to produce articles and projects for your section, but you are always welcome to write for other sections as well.

  • We are looking for editors in all 4 sections to manage and develop our writing team. Editing is a great way to steer the direction of TCS coverage and section editors get creative freedom. As well as working with the writers to produce pieces, editors can contribute their own articles.

  • Support the Editor-in-Chiefs with the day-to-day running of TCS and its development! Our Deputy Editor works closely with all section Editors, steering the direction of the paper. This is also an opportunity to develop your own projects and contribute to the expansion of TCS.

  • We are looking for someone to join our team as an Events Manager. This is an exciting role as we plan to expand our Events calendar this term! The applicant should have good organisational skills and be proactive in developing events for TCS that encourage readership. Events will vary from team socials, organising speaker events with external guests, collaborating with other societies, and anything else that the Events Manager wants to organise!

  • Help us to promote our work through social media and design! We are looking for a team of 2 Social Media Managers to run our socials and expand our reach. We are also recruiting a Designer to help cement our visual branding and work alongside the Social Media Team.
